MIA official: Citizens must be vaccinated for free movement in country

"COVID-19 passport is not required in small trade facilities," Major Elshad Hajiyev, Chief of the Media and Public Relations Department of the Interior Ministry's Press Service, said at a briefing at the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers on August 20.

"The norms for the first dose of the vaccine from September 1 and the second dose from October 1 indicate that if citizens want to move freely in the country, they must be vaccinated. The inoculated citizens do not face any restrictions. This is important both in terms of a citizen's health and the law abidance," Hajiyev said.

The Interior Ministry official noted that the current situation in Baku Metro is stable: "No COVID-passports are required in metro."
