Germany turns down asylum requests of 68 Azerbaijani citizens

In the first three months of 2022, the German migration authorities received 267 asylum applications from Azerbaijani citizens, the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (IEPF) said in response to a request from the European bureau of Report.

According to the report, 185 of the asylum applications were for the first time, and 82 for the second and third time.

“In the first three months of 2022, a total of 213 decisions were made regarding citizens of Azerbaijan. Only 12.2% of asylum seekers were answered positively. A negative decision was made on 68 cases, and 119 cases were not considered due to other procedures,” the IEPF said.

According to the latest statistics from the Federal Office, last month the Federal Office received a total of 51,589 applications from asylum seekers.
