The opening of the Library Information Center, created in accordance with international standards, was held at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) in partnership with the Azerbaijani Ministry of Science and Education and with the financial support of BP, Report informs.
The director of the center, Khayala Hajiyeva, said that the two-story library will serve 200 visitors at a time.
A repository has been created in the center to ensure the storage and use of scientific and cultural heritage, and a website with integrated electronic library services has been developed.
The center is equipped with RFID technology - the latest library security and self-service system. Electronic kiosks allow readers to learn about the availability of resources, and self-service technology provides free access to materials through users' personal accounts.
In addition, the library is equipped with printers and scanners for users.
The Library Information Center of AzTU is the first library with a full international infrastructure created by local specialists in the country.
