Azerbaijan to host next annual event of UN GlobE Network

The prosecutor’s office of Azerbaijan continues its international cooperation in combating crime, including corruption, one of its most dangerous forms, Report informs, citing the press service of the country’s General Prosecutor’s Office.

The 5th plenary session of the GlobE network (Global Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Operational Network) was held in Beijing, China, on September 24-27, 2024. The event saw participation from over 400 representatives from more than 100 countries and over 10 international organizations.

During the meeting, Natig Eyvazov, Head of the Organizational and Information Assurance Department of the Anti-Corruption Directorate under the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, was elected to the 15-member executive committee of the GlobE network.

At the conclusion of the event, it was unanimously decided that the next, 6th Plenary Meeting of the UN Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Bodies (GlobE) will be held in Azerbaijan in 2025.
