Azerbaijan sends 40,000 doses of vaccine to Tajikistan

On the instructions of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, humanitarian aid has been sent to Tajikistan to fight the spread of coronavirus infection.

Today, July 20, a plane carrying 40,000 doses of Vaxevria (AstraZeneca) vaccine landed at Dushanbe International Airport in Tajikistan, the report said.

The cargo was received at the airport by Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tajikistan Vugar Ibrahimov and handed over to Director of the Republican Immunoprophylaxis Center of Tajikistan Fayzali Saidzoda and Chief of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Safety Department of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection Navruz Jafarov.

After the delivery of humanitarian aid to the other side, the official of Tajikistan's Health Ministry thanked the leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the continued assistance provided to Tajikistan in the fight against the COVID-19 virus.
