Research shows that vaccination is the most effective way to protect against new and rapidly spreading variants of the virus, reads a joint statement issued by the Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Mandatory Medical Insurance and the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units of Azerbaijan, Report informs.
As a result of the population's active participation in the vaccination campaign, the epidemiological situation in Azerbaijan has remained stable.
"Health authorities are urging citizens to be vaccinated with a booster dose without wasting time to protect themselves from the new strain. In addition to vaccination, the rules of the special quarantine regime must also be observed. Regulations such as maintaining physical distance, using masks, and hand hygiene are the only way to protect yourself and return to normal life, regardless of the variant of the virus," reads the statement.
