Barcelona looks for a replacement for Lewandowski

FC Barcelona has started planning the future of its forward line, aware that Robert Lewandowski, although still a key player, is 36 years old and his contract expires in 2026. Despite his excellent performance, with four goals in six matches between La Liga and the Champions League at the start of this season, the club is aware of the need to find a successor who ensures a transition without losing offensive power.

Report informs via foreign media that in the offices of Camp Nou, various alternatives are already being analyzed, with Erling Haaland being the most prominent name. The Norwegian forward is the most coveted in European football and is under contract with Manchester City until 2027. Although his arrival would be a dream for any club, Barcelona's financial difficulties and Haaland's high salary, close to 20 million pounds, make it a challenging signing. Additionally, any move would depend on potential sanctions that the City Council could face for financial violations, which could alter his contractual situation.

However, Barcelona is also exploring more affordable options. Viktor Gyökeres, the forward from Sporting de Lisboa, is showing spectacular performance in Portugal, with nine goals in seven matches. At 26 years old, the Swede is at his peak, and his market value has caught the attention of several top clubs in Europe, including Premier League clubs and PSG.

Lastly, Benjamin Šeško, the 21-year-old forward from RB Leipzig, is also on the radar. His youth and potential make him an attractive option for Barcelona's future. With a more accessible release clause of around 65 million euros, Šeško could be a viable solution to strengthen the forward line in the long term.
