Deposits in Azerbaijani banks up slightly

As of April 1, 2024, deposits in Azerbaijani banks amounted to 37,127.6 million manats ($21.82 billion), 0.1% less than a month earlier, 0.4% more than early 2024, and 7.4% more than a year ago, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

Of this, 57.6%, or 21.376 billion manats ($12.56 billion), fell to the share of non-financial organizations, 7.2% more than a year earlier.

During the reporting period, household deposits increased by 9.9% to 13,150.5 million manats ($7.73 billion), and deposits of financial institutions went down by 1.5% to 2,600.4 million manats ($1.53 billion).

During the reporting period, 23.215 billion manats ($13.64 billion) (+0.4% during the year) were short-term deposits, and 13.913 billion manats ($13.913 billion) (+21.7%) were long-term deposits.
