Deposits in Azerbaijani banks up by over 13%

As of April 1, 2023, deposits in Azerbaijani banks amounted to 34,554.8 million manats ($20.33 billion), 1.8% less than a month earlier, 4.7% less than on January 1, 2023, and 13.3% more than a year ago, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

Of this, 57.7% or 19.950 billion manats ($11.74 billion) fell to the share of non-financial organizations, 11.4% more than a year earlier.

During the reporting period, household deposits increased by 15.4% to 11.964 billion manats ($7.04 billion), and deposits of financial institutions grew by 18.3% to 2.640 billion manats ($1.55 billion).

There are 25 banks in the country.
