BSE turnover shows 38% decline

In January-May 2020, deals on all financial instruments of the Baku Stock Exchange amounted to AZN 3.844 billion, down 38.4% from the previous year.

According to Report, the number of deals closed in the past five months dropped 11.3% to 1,762.

Meanwhile, government securities constituted 57.75% or AZN 2.220 billion of the BSE turnover, down 61.5% from a year earlier.

Deals on the corporate securities market rose 5.4-fold to AZN 955 million, while repo operations showed a 2.2-fold increase, reaching AZN 669 million.
