Wind power production rose by 18.3% to 53 million kWh in January–November 2023, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
The output in the sector of electric power, gas, and steam production, distribution, and supply amounted to 2,715.7 million ($1.6 billion) in the reporting period, up 1.4% from a year earlier.
Production in the water supply, waste treatment, and processing sector has risen by 16%, settling at 516.5 million manats ($303.82 million).
Azerbaijan produced 24,932.3 million kWh of electricity in the reporting period, up 0.9% from the previous year. Of this, 24,090.6 million kWh were commercial electricity, 0.8% more than the last year.
The hydropower plants produced 1,587,800,000 kWh of electricity, 5.6% more than a year ago.
The thermal power plants generated 22,387,500,000 kWh of energy, up 0.4% from a year earlier.
Solar power production increased by 6.7% to 62.3 million kWh.
