Baku. 22 October. REPORT.AZ/ One more scientific article by Samin Malik, a teacher at the Petroleum Engineering department of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), has been printed in a well-known international journal, Report informs citing the Higher School. In September this year, his article entitled “On Necessary Optimality Conditions for Singular Controls in Dynamical Systems with a Delay in Control” was published by Numerical Functional Analysis and Optimization.
In the paper, applying new proof methods strengthened analogue of Pontryagin maximum principle was obtained. This principle is a fundamental result in optimal control theory, which is applicable to up-to-date engineering and economical optimization problems. Optimization problems in dynamical systems with a delay in controlareamong priority research areas of modern mathematics. They are of great importance in determining affordable working principles of new multifunctional technology and in optimal management of delayed or bounded bank payments by the mathematical models.
Numerical Functional Analysis and Optimization is one of the most authoritative scientific journals in the world in the field of Control and Optimization. It has been issued by Taylor and Francis Ltd in the USA for 50 years. The Editorial Board of the journal consists of professors from the US, France, and Germany. The journal is also used by the world-famous SCOPUS, MathSciNet, EBSCOhost and ZentralblattMath research databases.
Samin Malik received his Master degree in Pure Math and Mathematical Logic at the University of Manchester (Great Britain). Currently, he is a Ph.D student at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
