MENR: Landslide in Badamdar continues, load-bearing wall moved down by 4-5 meters - UPDATED -2

Baku. 13 October. REPORT.AZ/ Specialists of the geological planning expedition of the National Geological Exploration Service of the country’s Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (MENR) continue to observe the landslide on the right side of Badamdar - 20th Area motor road.

MENR press service told Report that activity in the dynamics of the landslide continues: ‘In order to prevent the landslide, the load-bearing wall, which was built in 2013, moved down by 4-5 meters. The process is in an active phase. The sliding area is under the control of representatives of the relevant bodies and there is no danger for life of the people’.

REPORT.AZ/ Landslide on the right side of Badamdar – 20th Area motor road has activated since 8:00 a.m. today, Aziz Garalov, head of the geological planning expedition of the National Geological Exploration Service of the country’s Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, told Report.

According to him, the landslide started 10 days ago: ‘We have been here since night. The landslide occurred once at morning hours. Landslide is an area in the width of more than 200 meters. The land has reached the asphalt. Major part of load-bearing wall on it has collapsed.’
