Number of Azerbaijan's population nears 10.2 million

Azerbaijan's population increased by 16,376 people or 0.2 percent in the first five months of 2024 and reached 10,197,146 people on June 1, 2024, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

According to the committee, 54.5 percent of the total population is urban, and 45.5 percent are rural residents.

At the same time, 49.8 percent are men, and 50.2 percent are women.
