AIR Center Chairman: Armenians in Karabakh is internal issue, will not be discussed on international platforms

"Armenia says the Karabakh issue is a territorial and human rights issue for them. In my opinion, there is no need to amend the Constitution of Azerbaijan for 25,000 Armenians. There are many national minorities in Azerbaijan, and their rights are guaranteed," Farid Shafiyev, chairman of the Center of Analysis of International Relations, said at a conference on the Shusha Declaration and the 30th anniversary of Azerbaijani-Turkish diplomatic relations.

"Along with the Azerbaijani language, the state also funds the teaching of Russian and Georgian languages in Azerbaijan. That is, all these issues can be resolved within the national minority. Armenians in Karabakh is an internal matter and will not be discussed on international platforms," he said.
