Azerbaijani-Russian joint enterprise being created in Aghdam Industrial Park

Azerbaijan's Rail Trans Service and Russia's 1520 Group of Companies will set up a joint venture to design, install and implement railway automation and telemechanics systems in the Aghdam Industrial Park, Report informs.

According to the Russian Trade Representation in Azerbaijan, the Russian company will share its knowledge and experience in advanced automation systems for alarm, centralization and blocking with the Azerbaijani side.

In addition, work will be carried out to organize the production of these systems in the Aghdam Industrial Park.

According to Dmitry Bolotsky, Deputy General Director for International Projects of the 1520 Group of Companies, this will help the creation of a modern railway automation system in Azerbaijan as soon as possible.

1520 Group of Companies has already completed a project with Rail Trans Service to modernize the signaling, centralization and blocking of the Boyuk Kasik-Ujar section of the Azerbaijani railways.

Earlier, the company modernized the Astara- state border with Iran section within the North-South international transport corridor, which was ordered by Azerbaijan Railways.

Aghdam Industrial Park was established on 190 hectares by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated May 28, 2021. It is planned to register more than 30 residents in the park and invest more than 100 million manats.
