Azerbaijan–Italy trade grows in January–September

Trade between Azerbaijan and Italy totaled $9.1888 billion in January–September 2026, up 3.1% from the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.

Azerbaijan's exports to Italy rose 3% to $8.7899 billion, while imports from Italy increased 6.6% to $398.9 million.

Italy accounted for 24.6% of Azerbaijan's total foreign trade. Exports to Italy represented 36.8% of the country's overall exports, while imports from Italy made up 2.9% of total imports.

Azerbaijan's overall foreign trade reached $37.211 billion in the first nine months, up 5.2% year over year.

Exports increased 28.3% to $23.865 billion, while imports fell 20.4% to $13.346 billion.

The resulting trade surplus totaled $10.519 billion, 5.7 times the figure recorded a year earlier.
