Baku. 18 February. REPORT.AZ/ In January 2019 Azerbaijan imported 2,512 cars, up 1,526 cars or 2.55-fold from the previous year, Report informs citing the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the SCC, some 18 or 0.72% of them were cars with a seating capacity of 10 and more seats, 2,267 or 90.24% passenger cars intended for passenger transportation and other motor vehicles, 215 or 8.59% were trucks, and 12 or 0.48% are special purpose vehicles.
Compared to the previous year, the number of cars with a seating capacity of 10 and more seats has increased by 14 units or 4.5-fold, the passenger cars intended for passenger transportation and other motor vehicles by 1,365 units or 2.5-fold, trucks by 142 units or 2.94-fold and special purpose vehicles increased by 11 units or 12-fold.
