Georgia sets new tourism revenue record in Q12024

Georgia has achieved a new milestone in its tourism sector, with revenues reaching $807.7 million in the first quarter of 2024, representing a 1.5% increase compared to the same period in the previous year, Report informs via the National Bank of Georgia.

The highest spending was recorded from Russian visitors, who spent $171.2 million. They were followed by tourists from Türkiye, contributing $117.51 million to the economy. Visitors from the European Union were also significant contributors, spending $108.3 million in total.

Additionally, tourists from Israel and Azerbaijan spent $65.7 million and $40.6 million, respectively, further bolstering Georgia’s tourism revenue.
