The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group has urged member states to address existing information and data gaps among institutions in the wastewater sector, Nizar Zaied, Manager for Agriculture, Water Resources, and Rural Development at the IsDB Group, stated during panel discussions at the Bank's 51st Annual Meetings in Baku, Report informs.
Zaied emphasized the importance of cooperation among banks and partners: "Charitable organizations can allocate resources for pilot projects, but scaling requires larger financial resources. Member states with projects must act quickly. We are ready to work with you, the World Health Organization, and our Turkish partners through integration platforms to share experience and apply it across member countries."
He also noted that wastewater can be reused multiple times: "This must be taken into account. First, it is a vital tool for public health protection and early detection. Secondly, it is an important resource for agriculture, food security, and a livable planet."
