World wheat prices rise to 14-year high

Wheat futures on the Chicago Stock Exchange has risen more than 6% to a 14-year high, Report informs citing UNIAN that after the start of the war in Ukraine, the wheat market (price) grew by more than 40%, which was the highest level of growth for grain in the entire history of observations.
On March 7, the market reached a maximum since 2008 - up to $12.6 per bushel.
On March 7, 2022, prices for corn (by 2.7% to $7.75 per bushel) and soybeans (by 2.1% to $16.95 per bushel) increased. Prices for these crops are at their highest level since September 2012.
About a third of world wheat exports, as well as 19% of corn exports, fall on Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
