Thus, the December futures for wheat on the Chicago Stock Exchange rose to $9.18 per bushel.

Wheat prices jumped as the aggravation of the geopolitical situation pushed investors into doubts about the prospects for wheat exports from Ukraine. Problems with the supply of Ukrainian crops have already arisen, as the number of departing ships awaiting inspection in Istanbul increases, Bloomberg reports.

Since the beginning of the ‘grain corridor’ operation, 305 vessels with agricultural products have left Ukrainian ports.
