Volume of flour reserves in Azerbaijan revealed

At the end of 2024, the volume of flour reserves in Azerbaijan amounted to 1.764 million tons, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.
This is 0.5% less than in 2023.
At the same time, the lowest flour reserves in the country were recorded last year.
The reserves were formed due to the balances at the beginning of the year (16.3%), domestic production (77.4%) and imports (6.2%).
In 2024, Azerbaijan produced 1.365 million of flour, which is 2.8% more than a year earlier. The volume of flour imports decreased by 28.2%, amounting to 109,860 tons, and the balances at the beginning of the year decreased by 1.1%, to 288,710 tons.
