Vladanka Andreeva: UN supports development of agriculture in Azerbaijan

The goal of the UN office in Azerbaijan is the development of rural areas in the country, which is important in terms of improving the farmers' activity, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva said during the national forum on agrarian consultations.
She said agrarian consultations make farmers more prepared for challengers they face and help increase the level of food safety.
The resident coordinator noted that women also play a huge role in this sphere and ensuring their activity is also part of inclusive development, which is of utmost importance for the UN.
Vladanka Andreeva also noted that the UN is working actively with Azerbaijan in this direction and allocates grants to this end.
