Turkic states discuss enhancing agricultural cooperation

The Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held an online meeting on agricultural development with the participation of experts from the relevant bodies of member and observer states, as well as representatives of the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI), Report informs, quoting the OTS.
The parties discussed practical issues of enhancing multilateral cooperation in agriculture, in particular, the formation of sub-working groups covering various areas, such as research and development, implementation of technical programs and projects in agriculture, the economic dimension of the issue, and seed production, the report says.
The experts also exchanged views on the Turkish Agricultural Forum to be held in Uzbekistan in 2022 with the participation of agricultural organizations of member and observer countries and the establishment of a legal framework for cooperation in agriculture to ensure B2B and G2B cooperation.
The Organization of Turkic States was established in 2009. The organization, chaired by Baghdad Amreyev, is made up of five member states (Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan) and two observers (Hungary, Turkmenistan).
