Six dry cargo ships with agricultural products leave ports of Ukraine

On September 19, six ships with agricultural products left Ukrainian ports, according to the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, Report informs citing Anadolu Agency.

On July 22, in Istanbul, in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, an agreement was signed on the safe transportation of grain from the ports of Ukraine. The document was signed by representatives of Ukraine, Russia, the UN and Turkiye.

The grain agreement covers the Ukrainian ports of Odesa, Yuzhnyi and Chornomorsk.

As part of the implementation of the provisions of the Initiative of Understanding for the safe transportation of grain from the ports of Ukraine, a Joint Coordination Center was created to monitor the safe passage of ships with agricultural products along the sea corridor, inspect ships to prevent smuggling of weapons and exclude provocations.
