Deputy Minister: Farmers should formulate their production plans taking climate risks into account

The deputy minister stressed that farmers should formulate their production plans taking these risks into account: "The state is also strengthening support mechanisms in this area. Unfortunately, in some cases, even though products are cultivated, they are not declared in statistics. This affects official figures. Nevertheless, market opportunities are also among the main factors influencing farmers' decisions."

Gadimova added that climate change should always be on the agenda in the agricultural sector.

Furthermore, she highlighted that to date, 900,000 entities have registered in the Electronic Agricultural Information System in Azerbaijan.

Gadimova also emphasized that within the framework of the Agribusiness Development Forum, successful farmers were awarded for the first time: "This initiative will continue in future years. The participation of specialists from various fields - economics, legislation, finance, etc. - in the forum has enabled valuable exchange of ideas on the future development of agribusiness."
