On May 2, Azerbaijani Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov will pay an official visit to Belgium, Report informs referring to the official page of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Belgium.
During the visit, the minister will visit the Flanders Research Institute for agriculture, fisheries and food (ILVO) and the experimental fields in Merelbeke.
“Azerbaijan has a very liberal foreign trade policy and a favorable business and investment climate with many fiscal incentives. There are no restrictions on technology transfer, foreign exchange or profit repatriation. The amount of foreign capital in local companies is unlimited, and foreign investment does not require prior permission,” the Flemish government said in a statement.
Azerbaijan is particularly interested in importing advanced agricultural machinery and technologies, seed production and green innovations, exchange of experience in the field of digitalization of agriculture and green innovations.
The report notes that Azerbaijan wants to accelerate the development of its agricultural potential and food industry in the coming years through cooperation with international partners.
