Azerbaijan to export honey to Japan and UAE

Azerbaijan will export honey to Japan and the United Arab Emirates, Badraddin Hasratov, chairman of the board of the Azerbaijan Beekeepers Association, told Report.

According to him, negotiations are underway.

According to him, agreements have already been signed for the export of Azerbaijan's honey to Japan: "Japan wants to buy a large amount of honey, initially ordered 50-60 tons."

Hasratov noted that representatives from the UAE visited Azerbaijan a few days ago: "They want to import 10,000 tons of honey from Azerbaijan. We'll sign an agreement."

"In general, the interest in Azerbaijani honey has increased because of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Last year, Ukraine exported 82,000 tons of honey to the world market, and this year there is a problem with their production due to the war. There will be gaps in the demand for honey in the market. We must try to have a place in the world market by working quickly," Hasratov added.
