Azerbaijan sharply increases orange imports from Turkiye

In the first half of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 14,151 tons (-0,3%) of oranges worth $ 10.152 million (+0.4%), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, 7,841 tons (-18.8%) worth $ 5.49 million (-18.8%) were imported from Iran, 3,996 tons (+3.5 times) worth $ 2.798 million (+3.5 times) from Turkiye, 2,313 tons (-32%) worth $ 1.863 million (-27%) from Egypt, and 1.03 tons worth $ 820 from Spain.
Last year, Azerbaijan imported 20,300 tons of oranges from six countries, of which 67.6% were purchased from Iran, 16.9% from Egypt, and 13.4% from Turkiye.
