Azerbaijan resumes tomato exports to one more country 

Azerbaijan exported 112,302 tons of tomatoes worth $134.229 million in January-August 2022, down 5.7% and up 4.7%, respectively, from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

Below is the list of countries that imported tomatoes from Azerbaijan in the reporting period.

- Russia – 109,521 tons (-4.4%) worth $129.942 million (+3.1%);

- Belarus – 2,124 tons (+2.8 times) worth $3.697 million (+6.5 times);

- Poland – 162 tons (2.3 times) worth $239,400 (+3.6 times);

- Ukraine – 294.23 tons (-80%) worth $223,810 (-66.3%);

- UAE – 59.91 tons (-93.1%) worth $45,390 (-80%).

For the first time since 2011, Azerbaijan exported 17.24 tons of tomatoes to Lithuania for $6,900.

During the eight months of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 919 tons (+11.1%) worth $1 million (+54.5%). The list of countries that exported tomatoes to Azerbaijan:

- Russia – 746.43 tons (+2.4 times) worth $858,120 (+2.4 times);

- Belarus – 48.86 tons (+41%) worth $84,870 (+2.5 times);

- Turkmenistan – 114.77 tons (-29%) worth $64,330 (-24%);

- Iran – 9 tons (+300 times) worth $4,950 (+248 times);

- Turkiye – 0.22 tons worth $280.
