Azerbaijan resumes importing sunflower oil from Bulgaria

In January-April 2024, Azerbaijan imported 24,298 tons of sunflower oil worth $20.94 million, up 48.3% and 10%, respectively, year-on-year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 23,872 tons of sunflower oil (+48%) from Russia for $20.3 million (+10%), 398 tons (+2.4 times) from Türkiye for $601,000 (+93%), 13.87 tons (-83%) from Ukraine for $22,120 (-85%), 11 tons (-45%) from Italy for $22,000 (-62%), and 2.98 tons (+2.4 times%) from Belarus for $5,240 (+93%).
After five years and three months, Azerbaijan resumed the supply of sunflower oil from Bulgaria (0.04 tons worth $160).
Russia accounted for 98.6% of the 54,828 tons of sunflower oil imports to Azerbaijan in 2023.
