Azerbaijan reduces spendings on hazelnut import from Turkiye by 84%

From January through May 2022, Azerbaijan spent $60,000 on hazelnut imports from Turkiye, 84% less than in the same period last year, Report informs, citing the Turkish Exporters Assembly(TIM).
In May alone, Turkiye exported $7,000 worth of hazelnuts to Azerbaijan, down 44.2% from a year earlier.
In the first five months of 2022, Turkiye's total hazelnut exports fell by 18.5% year-on-year to $724 million, while in May, the value of hazelnut exports dropped 32.1% to $100 million.
