Azerbaijan records remarkable growth in peach imports from Türkiye

Azerbaijan imported 198.84 tons of peaches (including nectarines) valued at $452,180 in the initial five months of 2024, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.
Compared to the corresponding period of 2023, this is a 97% increase in volume and a two-fold growth in value.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan supplied 196.93 tons (+2 times) of peaches from Türkiye for $436,110 (+2.2 times), 1.2 tons (+29%) from Chile for $9,600 (+29%) and 0.81 tons (-50%) from South Africa for $6,460 (-49%).
Meanwhile, in 2023, Azerbaijan imported a total of 205 tons of peaches from five countries, of which 57.6% came from Türkiye.
