Azerbaijan more than doubles raw sugar imports from Mexico

In the first seven months of this year, Azerbaijan imported 158,191 tons of raw sugar (without flavoring or coloring additives derived from sugar beet/cane) worth $85.76 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

Compared to the same period last year, this is 3.5% more in value terms, and 12.7% less in quantitative terms.

Some 109,014 tons (-30.8%) of products were imported from Brazil for $59.659 million (-16.6%), 49,149 tons (+2.1 times) from Mexico for $26.065 million (+2.3 times), 16.13 tons (+19.2%) from Colombia for $18,540 (-13.3%), 4.43 tons (-8.7%) from Mauritius for $6,720 (-39.7%), and 3 tons from Turkiye for $4,690 (deliveries resumed after a break of six years and three months).
