Another 6 vessels with agricultural products leave Ukrainian ports

On the morning of September 6, another six dry cargo ships with agricultural products left the ports of Ukraine, according to the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.

Deliveries of agricultural products from the ports of Ukraine continue under the control of the Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul.

Since the beginning of August, more than 1 million tons of agricultural products have been exported through the grain corridor.

An agreement on the safe transportation of grain from the ports of Ukraine was signed in Istanbul, on July 22, in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, The document was inked by representatives of Ukraine, Russia, the UN and Turkiye.

The grain deal covers the Ukrainian ports of Odesa, Yuzhnyi and Chornomorsk.

A Joint Coordination Center was created to monitor the safe passage of ships with agricultural products along the sea corridor, inspect ships to prevent smuggling of weapons and exclude provocations as part of the implementation of the provisions of the Initiative of Understanding for the safe transportation of grain from the ports of Ukraine.
