Azerbaijan needs a platform for sustainable development of agriculture, Deputy Head of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Representative Office in Azerbaijan, Anar Azimov said at the panel session held on the second day of the Baku Climate Action Week, Report informs.
"Azerbaijan is facing a challenging dilemma in meeting export and domestic demand. Currently, the total area of agricultural land in Azerbaijan is 4.8 million hectares, with 1.9 million hectares being arable.
