Afgan Jalilov: Azerpost needs a year to update entire IT infrastructure

Azerpost LLC, owned by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, is currently upgrading its entire IT infrastructure and it will take about a year to complete this process, the chairman of the company's board, Afgan Jalilov, said at a briefing today.

"The software used today in Azerpost was purchased 15 years ago and has never been updated during this time. It takes some time to upgrade the infrastructure, and work is currently underway to improve the level of staff professionalism."

According to him, there are about 4,000 employees in Azerpost: "We cannot expose the organization to losses by massively increasing their wages. For this reason, since last year we have switched to a bonus system. That is, an employee should be interested in timely and correct customer service. As a result, he receives bonuses."
