ECO members to introduce traditional cuisines in Iran

Baku. 17 August. REPORT.AZ/ Eight member countries of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) will introduce their traditional cuisines during the ECO international food festival, which will be held from August 31 to September 4 in the Iranian northwestern city of Zanjan, Report informs citing the Tehran Times.

The festival aims to strengthen ties between different nations and attract tourists to the country, the head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicraft Organization office in Zanjan Yahya Rahmati said.

Music performances and handicraft exhibitions will be held on the sidelines of the event, Rahmati said.
Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), is an intergovernmental regional organization established in 1985 by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey for the purpose of promoting economic, technical and cultural cooperation among the Member States. Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are other members of the organization.
