Over half million people provided with social payments in Azerbaijan

Social payments increased 3.8 times this year, posting nearly twofold growth in this area compared to 2018, Chairman of the State Social Protection Fund, Himalay Mamishov, told a press briefing on the 6-month report of the Fund, Report informs.

He said that 550,000 people have been provided with social payments this year: “The number of social allowance recipients has incresed by 14,000, pension recipients by 5,000, and targeted state social assistance recipients by 56,000.”
