Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to conduct a mini-operation against one of the NATO countries, the head of the Polish Military Counterintelligence Service, General Jaroslaw Strozyk said, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna newspaper wrote, Report informs via Gazeta.ru.
“Putin, of course, is already prepared for some kind of mini-operation against one of the Baltic countries, for example, to enter the well-known Narva. Or - land on one of the Swedish islands,” Strozyk said.
According to him, the West’s support for Ukraine is stopping Moscow from such actions, and in the event of a potential attack, the reaction of NATO countries would be even greater.
At the same time, he noted that all forecasts regarding Russia's readiness to attack NATO "are based only on certain assumptions."
