Pashinyan: Border pillars in Tavush guarantee Armenia's security

Border pillars in Tavush are a guarantee of the security of Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a press conference, assessing the process of delimitation and demarcation of the border, which also involves the transfer of certain territories to Azerbaijan.

Report informs via Armenian media that, according to Pashinyan, what is happening in Armenia today is the creation of security guarantees, because "the previous guarantees did not work."

The authorities will do everything possible to strengthen these guarantees and increase the number of poles, he added.

Pashinyan noted that border pillars are installed on a legal basis and they become guarantees of security for the villages of Voskepar, Kirants, Berkaber, Baganis and Armenia as a whole. Delimitation and demarcation are not an end in themselves; the task lies in the formation of clear guarantees, the Armenian prime minister noted.
