Avenue in Kazakhstan’s Astana flooded due to melt water spill at landfill

Snow that melted at one of Astana’s landfills flooded one of the major avenues on the left bank of Kazakhstan’s capital, Report informs referring to Kazakh media.

“Due to the abundant melting of snow at the snow removal site, melt water flows and spills onto the road surface along Uly Dala Avenue,” the message says.

Rescuers added that forces from the Emergency Situations Service and local executive bodies are on site.
