Armenian Defense Ministry clears mines near Azerbaijani border

The Armenian Defense Ministry is demining the territory near the village of Kirants (Kheyrimli in Azerbaijani) in the Tavush province, the Internal Affairs Ministry of Armenia said, Report informs via News.am.

“Demining is carried out to reestablish this section of the state border following geodetic measurements of expert groups of Armenia and Azerbaijan, and also work is underway to clarify the coordinates,” the ministry noted.

The Internal Affairs Ministry of Armenia has enhanced measures for the safety of civilians in demining zones.
