Value of Russian assets blocked in Germany revealed

The value of Russian assets blocked in Germany is estimated at approximately 3.9 billion euros, according to the statistical data of the German Ministry of Finance, Report informs referring to Russian media.

This amount includes not only the assets of the Central Bank, but also the capital of individuals and legal entities from the Russian Federation included in the sanctions lists.

At the same time, since January 2024, the size of assets blocked in Germany has decreased by approximately 200 million euros - from 4.1 billion euros. The Ministry of Finance explains this by market fluctuations. In addition, the reduction of Russian assets frozen in Germany could be affected by the exclusion of companies or individuals from the Russian Federation from the sanctions lists.
