Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada: Vardanyan, who was purse for wars, cannot be awarded Nobel Peace Prize

Once a purse for wars, Ruben Vardanyan is now being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, Anatoly Kostiuk, deputy of the ruling People's Servant party of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, told Report in his statement on the parliament's objection to the Nobel Committee regarding Ruben Vardanyan.

"Ruben Vardanyan, the source of funding for military campaigns against various countries, including Ukraine, is nominated for the Nobel Prize. It is very absurd. I reminded that Ruben Vardanyan was included in the US sanctions list and his dark activities were repeatedly condemned by European politicians," said the deputy.

Kostiuk noted that Vardanyan is a wanted person in Ukraine's “Peacekeeper” database:

"I don't know if this is a mistake of the Committee or if it is really being ignored. That's why I decided to support the initiative of my colleagues to protest against it and to appeal to the Nobel Committee. This person should not be nominated for any prestigious award."
