Uzbekistan plans to enter African market through port in Oman

Uzbekistan discussed access to the African continent through the largest port in Oman, Salalah, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Uzbekistan said, Report informs via Uzbek media.

An agreement in this regard was reached during a meeting between the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Davron Vakhabov, and the Charge d'Affaires of the Sultanate of Oman, Nasir Al-Mawali.

“Issues regarding access to the African continent through the port of Salalah in Oman, re-export, as well as further development of cooperation and exchange of experience in the fishing and beekeeping industries were discussed,” the CCI said.

The parties also discussed issues of further cooperation and expressed mutual readiness to work together to attract the business communities of the two countries to establish closer ties and implement joint projects.
