Zabit Samadov to donate some sum of money prize to Forces Assistance Fund of Azerbaijan

Baku. 20 April. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijani famous K-1 fighter Zabit Səmədov will donate some sum of 1million dirhams (286 thousand AZN) prize money that he won at "Global Fighting Championship 3" tournament in Dubai (UAE), to the Armed Forces Assistance Fund of Azerbaijan Republic. Zabit Samadov said it to Report.

"My moral duty is to do everything I can for our troops as I present my country in this sport! I devote all my victories to Azerbaijan!" Zabit Samadov stated.

Z.Samadov won "Global Fighting Championship 3" tournament held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on April 17.

31-year-old athlete began to fight at semi-final stage of the competition. He defeated the Scottish star Steve Mckinnon.

On the other semi-final match, Danyo Ilung (Congo, Germany) won over Iranian Jafar Ahmadi. As a result, Samadov met with Ilung in the final. At the beginning of the meeting, the Azerbaijani sportsman laid his opponent with a series of kicks twice. Z.Samadov achieved the victory in the 4th round. Thus, the famous fighter won the cup and money prize of 1 million dirhams (286 thousand AZN).

It was 8th consecutive victory of Zabit Samadov in the ring.

Super finals of this tournament held in Dubai will take place in December this year. The winner of this fight will win the award of 1 million USD.
