Sabina Aliyeva on illegal visit of Armenian colleague to Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani Ombudswoman Sabina Aliyeva has accused her Armenian counterpart of violating international law for illegally visiting the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing Sabina Aliyeva commenting on the visit of Armenian Ombudswoman Kristina Grigoryan to the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed.

"This illegal visit not only grossly violates the provisions of the tripartite statement, signed by the presidents of Azerbaijan, Russia and the Armenian prime minister from November 10, 2020, but also aggravates the situation in the region, casting a shadow on the activities of Russian peacekeepers," she said, advising the Armenian Ombudswoman to deal with the protection of citizens living in Armenia, whose rights have been grossly violated, and not get engaged in the fulfillment of political orders that do not correspond to the mandate of the ombudswoman’s institution.
