Hikmat Hajiyev: Being a lawyer Ocampo abuses the term of 'genocide'

It is difficult to take Luis Moreno Ocampo's report seriously, because he is a corrupted lawyer and there are many substantial allegations against him, Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration said in an interview with CNN, according to Report.

"There are facts that he wrote such a report with the money of Armenian lobby grounds. I do regret that being a lawyer he at the same time abuses the term of 'genocide' and I also do regret that some international media resources are misusing the term 'genocide'," Hajiyev said.

He said this is accepted as an insult because the Azerbaijani people were subject to ethnic cleansing during its history.

He noted that Azerbaijan, just like any other country, has the right to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Earlier it was reported that the author of the biased anti-Azerbaijani report, the former chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, lawyer Luis Moreno Ocampo was repeatedly at the center of scandals and was suspected of manipulations and violation of legal norms.
